COLOR BALL
A specially marked ball is played for one score along with a team best-ball
To win this game a team must accumulate a best ball score while protecting a colored ball that must be played on a rotating basis by each player. Begin the game by either bringing a colored ball, or clearly marking a ball for each team.
Scoring on each hole is one best ball combined with the score from the player hitting the color, or marked ball. Each player in the foursome must take a turn play the color ball in an alternating 4-hole basis. On the last two holes, the team can elect which player they want to play the color ball.
Playing either gross or net scores for either ball (or both) is acceptable. An alternative format is to play more than one net best ball. This puts more pressure on the team to perform and makes the scoring more interesting.
If the color ball is lost, the team automatically forfeits.
