Scramble
Players use each other’s best shots to earn the lowest possible team score
Each player on the team (usually a foursome) hits their tee shot. The group selects the best shot and the remaining players pick up and hit from that location. Players continue hitting each shot and selecting the best result all the way into the hole.
The area of play from each fairway location is within one club length– no closer to the hole from the selected best shot. You are not allowed to improve the condition of the lie by using the one club length rule to escape from the rough or a sand trap. On the green, you are allowed to place your ball and putt within six inches from the location of the best shot.
The team’s best shots are used to create one combined group 18 hole score that competes with all other participating teams.
