About the Course
Canada's only desert-style golf course, Osoyoos Golf Club's Desert Gold layout carves 6,500 yards of challenge into the arid hillsides of British Columbia's South Okanagan Valley. This par-71 track follows the mountain's contours, sliding along the camber for the opening holes before climbing upward, where manicured fairways cut through dusty desert brush. Up to the 15th hole, sweeping panoramas reveal Osoyoos Lake and the vineyards and orchards below. Apart from holes 1, 17, and 18, the course delivers an authentic Arizona-style desert experience—fairways treacherously bordered by thick rough, water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers demand precise shot-making at every turn. With four distinct tee sets offering varied challenges, Desert Gold stands as the more demanding of the club's two courses, blending Canadian wine country scenery with the rugged desert golf aesthetic of the American Southwest.
