About the Course
Carne Golf Links is located on the Mullet Peninsula in County Mayo, Ireland, along the Wild Atlantic Way, featuring a wild and ancient landscape. Set in magnificent, unspoiled dunes rising 150m above sea level, it offers breathtaking views of Blacksod Bay and the Atlantic, as well as the islands of Inis Glóire and Inis Géidhe. Arguably the most spectacular links course in Ireland, the holes weave through the awe-inspiring corners of the dune system. The course offers two routings: the Hackett and the Wild Atlantic Dunes. The 11th hole, a 363-yard par-4, is one of the most unique, with the fairway dog-legging right behind a massive dune, obscuring the green. The choppy landscape creates uneven lies, occasional blind shots, and memorable terrain, delivering a true links experience.
