About the Course
County Sligo Golf Club, also known as Rosses Point, is an exhilarating west coast links course situated in Yeats country. The club has hosted the West of Ireland Amateur Open Championship since 1923, with past winners including Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington, and Rory McIlroy. The course features unusual routing and varied terrain, especially the back nine (holes 11-17) played on the headland. The 17th hole is a challenging 500-yard par 4 that plays along the ocean before doglegging left and climbing uphill to a green set at the base of a large dune.
