About the Course
Host of the 2006 Ryder Cup, the K Club North Course holds the distinction of being the first Irish venue to stage this prestigious Europe-USA showdown, where Europe triumphed 18.5 to 9.5. Located in County Kildare west of Dublin, the course winds along the River Liffey through mature parkland, blending elegance with strategic hazards. The signature par-5 7th hole curves left along the river with the green surrounded by water on three sides, demanding precise distance control and nerve for any aggressive approach. The par-3 17th is equally memorable, requiring a carry over expansive water with the backdrop of a historic manor house. Dense vegetation frames undulating fairways, and in autumn, golden leaves carpet the woodland floor, creating a classic Irish parkland atmosphere steeped in timeless beauty.
