About the Course
This 7,239-yard monster co-hosted the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Classic (later known as the Humana Challenge) from 2008 to 2011, where professional golfers battled on this $58 million desert masterpiece and left countless memorable moments. As one of the longest courses in the Palm Springs area, SilverRock established itself as the ultimate proving ground with its PGA Tour-level challenge. Set against the Santa Rosa Mountains, the course sprawls across 200 acres featuring massive native bunkers and dramatic water hazards. The 17th hole stands as the course's crown jewel—a 596-yard par-5 demanding two carries over glistening water, forcing even the longest hitters to carefully calculate each shot while the green remains fiercely protected by surrounding bunkers. Expansive desert waste areas, undulating greens, and landing zones more generous than they appear create a delicate balance between visual intimidation and playable challenge.
