About the Course
Ranked among SCOREGolf's Top 60 Public Golf Courses in Canada and voted #2 'Hidden Gem' by PGA of BC professionals, Salmon Arm Golf Club stands as one of Western Canada's most respected golf facilities. Nestled at the foot of Mount Ida, an extinct volcanic cone, the course seamlessly blends mountain and parkland character, blessedly free of fairway homes to offer unspoiled mountain golf at its finest. The layout unfolds through towering fir, cedar, and pine trees, with the short par-3 17th framed by two sentinel fir trees standing guard behind the green. The signature 504-yard par-5 18th presents a true risk-reward scenario—reachable in two good shots down the narrow tree-lined fairway, but protected by a menacing pond fronting the green and a large bunker left of the fairway that demands precision for par. Fairways follow natural terrain contours as bunkers and water hazards lurk amidst the forest, creating an impressive test for golfers of all abilities.
