Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. as a 'true modern traditional,' this 6,900-yard par-71 meanders through wetlands and towering pines, featuring the signature island green par-3 6th and unique 16th hole with alternating dual greens, where fast, undulating surfaces demand precise club selection.
About the Course
Crowned as Idaho's #1 public golf course by Golfweek for 12 consecutive years, Circling Raven Golf Club holds the top state distinction from all three major golf publications—Golf, Golfweek, and Golf Digest—and ranks 104th among America's top resort courses. Owned by the Coeur d'Alene Tribe and spanning over 600 acres of ancestral homelands, this championship venue hosted the Epson Tour's Circling Raven Championship from 2021 to 2023, where 132 professional female golfers competed for a $225,000 purse. Nestled deep in northern Idaho's pine forests, the course features the signature 386-yard par-4 8th hole, framed by towering pines with a fairway that slopes right to left, demanding a forced carry over native grass. The 217-yard 'Grassy' 3rd and 253-yard 'Medicine Man' 13th test nerve and distance, the latter requiring a heroic carry across native vegetation to reach the green. Tranquil forests, rolling terrain, and the imprint of tribal culture make every round a dialogue with nature and history.
