Course Highlight
Ranked No. 1 public course in Arizona by Golfweek (14 times in 15 years), this minimalist masterpiece by legendary designers Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw seamlessly integrates wide fairways and undulating greens into the pristine Sonoran Desert, blending links-style traditions with distinctive desert-golf character.
About the Course
Ranked No. 1 on Golfweek's 'Best Course You Can Play' in Arizona for 13 consecutive years, the Saguaro Course stands as the undisputed champion among Phoenix-area public courses. Since opening in 2006, it has consistently held a Top-5 position on Golfweek's annual Casino Golf Course rankings and reached No. 41 on Golf Magazine's 'Top 100 You Can Play' list in 2014. The course was built with minimal earth movement, allowing the layout to blend seamlessly into the pristine Sonoran Desert landscape. The 14th hole defines the Saguaro experience—a 538-yard par-5 featuring a split fairway divided by a rocky creek bed that winds the entire length of the hole. Skilled players can challenge the more daring right-side route, while others opt for the safer left fairway. The 15th, a 255-yard downhill par-3, offers sweeping valley views from the tee. With no homes, roads, or buildings in sight—only four mountain ranges on the horizon and towering saguaro cacti standing sentinel over every fairway—this is desert golf in its purest form.
